Countdown to Korea, New Haircut, and Dye Job

I have exactly 11 days left until I board my flight and head to Seoul, South Korea. Part of my preparation has involved morphing my physical appearance. Ok, morphing sounds like I'm turning into an unearthly creature... Lol. I changed my hair... again. I cut it about 2 inches shorter than I had it 2 weeks ago, and I dyed it. The brand and color I chose was Dark and Lovely in Vivacious Red #394.
So, how did I decide what brand and color to use in my hair? Well, I honestly went with the Dark and Lovely because the color on the box looked vibrant to me, and the girl on the box was brown (black) like me... Lol. I know that just because some products are geared toward people of your own race , it doesn't mean they are always the best for you. Sometimes I just fell comforted in seeing a brown face on a box, and thus chose it....Sue me :)! Anyways, the application of the dye was easy, the wait time/ processing time was quick, and rinsing it out was a piece of cake. When I first saw the finished product known as my new hair color I felt sort of like Ronald McDonald. I was expecting red, but OMG... It was soooo red!!!! It took a day for it to grow on me, and by day 2, I was in love with it. I absolutely love my new hair color, and I think it looks even better on my super short afro hair. This may sound silly to some, but one of the reasons I first made the decision to cut my hair was because I wanted to save money. With shorter hair, I use less product...buy less product.... and save more money.Having short natural hair also cuts down on styling time. Since I have to get up early in the morning for my classes in Korea , I wanted to make sure that I cut my bathroom time down. Finally I just think I look cute with short hair, and was just ready for a change. Do I sound vain? I am totally not..lol. I am going to have fun with my short hair for the time being, because I'm sure I'm going to want to grow it out again at some point. You know how us girls are..... We change our tastes and styles so many times in a year.Below I posted some pics of the old me, and the new me (from top to bottom).
